Two different journeys, one shared table.
Zen & Zion’s story starts in different parts of the world, shaped by different traditions and brought together through food.
Patrick’s path led in west, where he found his home in the Southwest. There, he discovered Japan’s abura soba; bold, comforting, and stripped down to what matters most. Bringing it to Arizona wasn’t about trends but about sharing something honest and deeply satisfying.
Geoffrey was born in China and trained in Japan, where discipline, balance, and respect for ingredients shaped his craft. Over four decades of teppanyaki cooking, his approach was refined further in the United States. His focus shifted to precision, calm, and consistency. His food reflects that mindset: focused, intentional, and rooted in tradition.
